A group of 54 women from the Cherokee area traveled by bus to Omaha to attend the Women of Faith Conference at the Qwest Center on August 13 and 14.

The Women of Faith tour appears in several cities across the United States during the year. This year's conference has a theme of "Imagine," based on the text of Ephesians 3:20.

"God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine, or guess, or request in your wildest dreams," is the message the Women of Faith deliver.

During the two days of the conference, the Cherokee area women heard messages from Luci Swindoll, Sheila Walsh, Karen James, Lisa Harper, Marcus Buckingham and Michelle Aguilar, along with dramatizations by Nicole Johnson and music by the Worship Team, Natalie Grant, and Mary Mary.

Those in attendance were refreshed, encouraged and inspired.

The local organizer of the trip was Pat Friedrichsen of Larrabee.

Next year's conference will also be at the Qwest Center in Omaha , on August 12-13, 2011.
