AURELIA - The Aurelia Bulldogs held their own for much of the match against Northwest Conference rival Newell-Fonda here on Tuesday night, but in the end the Mustangs' fire power was just too much for Coach Ann Dornack's game Bulldog squad, as they fell to the Mustangs, three games to none. Game scores were 14-25, 10-25 and 17-25.

Shaina Thevenin led the Bulldogs in kills with three on the night and Audrey Winterhof had two. Regan Henkel had five set assists, and Gracie Winterhof had four playable digs. Shaina Thevenin and Gracie Winterhof each had two ace serves.

The Bulldog girls' next match is another Northwest Conference outing, at Storm Lake St. Mary's, on Tuesday.
