River Valley VB team falls at L-B

LAWTON - The River Valley Wolverines dropped a 3-1 volleyball match at Lawton-Bronson last week. No game scores were submitted.

Kari Ludvigson led the RV girls in hitting with a superb 44-46 effort and 13 kills, followed by Lexie Chester 23-25 and two kills, Jacie Jepsen 16-18 and eight kills, Mackenzie Fitch 10-18 and two kills, and Olivia Goettsch 9-11 and four kills.

Brittny Shropshire led RV in set assists with 24, and Ludvigson led in digs with 17, and Shropshire totaled eight, Chester six, and Fitch five. Ludvigson tallied nine blocks to lead that category, while Jepsen had five, and Chester four.

Emily Ray led River Valley's serving effort with 20-22 and five aces, followed by Ludvigson 21-21 and three aces, Chester 12-12 and one ace, Jepsen 8-10 and three aces, Shropshire 7-10, and Fitch 7-9 and one ace.

The Wolverines play at West Monona in Onawa tonight, and host the River Valley Tournament Saturday in Correctionville.
