CORRECTIONVILLE - Ranked Remsen-Union rushed for 342 yards on 52 carries and six touchdowns on the way to a 55-6 demolition of River Valley here Friday night.

The Rockets got three TDs from Kraig Alesch, who rushed 20 times for 187 yards in the game, and two more from Josh Bohnenkamp, who carried the ball 12 times for 61 yards. Kyle Frericks also ran in a TD for R-U and finished with 41 yards on nine carries.

Bohnenkamp at quarterback was 2-10 passing for 32 yards an a TD to Jacob Fiedler. He also was picked off twice by the River Valley defense.

The host Wolverines tallied their lone TD on a 64-yard pass play from quarterback Brody Riedemann to Dylan Fluke. Riedemann was 2-9 passing for 84 yards and had two passes intercepted. Brennan Riedemann had one catch for 24 yards.

Fluke led the meager RV ground attack with six carries for 28 yards, as the Wolverines managed just 65 yards on 24 carries in the game. Blane Cullen had eight hauls for 14 yards, and Riedemann nine carries for 17 yards.

Jacob Preuss pacedd the RV defense with 12 tackles, followed by Fluke, Cullen, Tanner Cobb, and Josh Kline with nine apiece, and Billy Pansegrau with eight.

Kipp Alesch led the Rocket defense with 12 tackles, and Jon Schiltz tallied eight.

River Valley (2-4) plays at Granville Spalding Friday night in further 8-player football action.
