Letsche's Bike Shop is proud to be one of 102 Trek Bicycle Dealers across the United States and Canada that has scheduled a bike ride to help combat breast cancer. The bike ride will be held on Saturday, October 9, starting at 1:00 p.m. The ride will begin from Letsche's Bike Shop.
2 routes are scheduled, and both rides leave from Letsche's Bike Shop at the same time.
Riders will proceed south on River Road until C44, and will head east on C44 for the first water stop at Redtail Ridge.
The short route then heads back to Letsche's on the River Road, or riders can come back on Hwy 59.
The longer route leaves Redtail Ridge and heads east to Hwy 59, and then turns south on Hwy 59 until the intersection of Hwy 59/C63. East on C63 until it intersects with M21, turning north on M21. M21 would lead into Aurelia, and the last water stop will be at the Aurelia City Park. Riders leave Aurelia and head west on C43, and then continue to Linden Street and come back to Cherokee.
Entry fee is $25, with all registration fees donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Pre-registration is encouraged.
Riders can register through the Trek website (www.trekbikes.com), or they may register at Letsche's Bike Shop by completing a registration form there.
The first 20 people that register will receive a free "Ride for Breast Cancer" t-shirt. Each participant will receive an event gift bag (reusable tote), water bottle, and more. Many fun door prizes will be drawn for the day of the event.
The route will be marked with signage provided by the Cherokee County Secondary Roads Department.
