The Cherokee Ridge Runner's Fall Rendezvous will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 9 and 10 at the Little Sioux Wildlife Area southwest of Cherokee and the public is welcome during daylight hours.
On Saturday there will be a Novelty and Shotgun Shoot and Hawk and Knife Throw events. Remember to post and pull your own targets on the range and bring your own staple gun.
Camping fees are $15 for primitive, $20 for modern, and range fee is $10. Camp fee includes Saturday Camp Feed (family camp is limited to five meal tickets). Meal tickets are $5 per person and kids 12 and under are free. There is limited water and firewood.
Scouts who are planning to attend are asked to be in uniform (cap, sash or troop badge) to receive camping and meal discount.
The Fall Rendezvous is held at Little Sioux Wildlife Area located southwest of Cherokee.
Due to the bridge construction project on the River Road, Rendezvous organizers recommend that people travel north from Quimby on the River Road then turn east on 590th St. (gravel road) and turn South to the entrance to the Little Sioux Wildlife Area.
