A visitation for Linda Kay Alquist of Mountain Home, Ark., is being held today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Kirby Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Ark. Linda died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 at the age of 69. Burial will be at a later date in the Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.

Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.

Linda was born Aug. 6, 1941 in Glenwood, the daughter of Merle and Eleanor Telford. She married Leo Clinton Alquist on Dec. 26, 1961 at Seattle, Washington. She worked as a production worker for Tyson Foods. Linda lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for 12 years moving from Cleghorn. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Clinton Alquist, and her parents.

Linda is survived by one son, Jerry (Kelli) Alquist of Dolph, Ark.; two daughters, Julie (Mark) Berg of Lino Lakes, Minn., and Desiree Hicks of Flippin, Ark.; 7 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one brother, Tom (Lucy) Telford of Mountain Home, Ark.
