Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Tim Reusch
Long-time employee Tim Reusch retired from the Hy-Vee

Cherokee Distribution Center in July. He began his tenure with the company in 1982 and worked as a truck driver his entire career. Lisa Stowater, Assistant Vice President Transportation/Human Resources, Cherokee had this to say about Tim, "He is one of the most outstanding drivers that you could ever ask for. Tim's ability to service the customer in the worst weather conditions has proven to be one of the biggest assets an employer could ever ask for. The years of knowledge and ability that he has acquired allowed him to earn the relished, 'Gold, Million Mile Truck'. The Cherokee Transportation Department will dearly miss him and we wish him the best of luck." He is married to Lori, who is a cake decorator at the Cherokee store. They have three children: Nathan is also a truck driver at Cherokee, April and David. Retirement plans include fishing, camping, wood working, traveling and spending time with his four grandsons. Tim will remember the great friends he has made while working for Hy-Vee. He has been a well-respected Hy-Vee employee during his entire career, and we wish him the best of luck in the years that lie ahead. Photo contributed
