Lunch time is a great opportunity to fit some quality education into your life and have fun while doing it.
Iowa State University (ISU) Extension in Cherokee County is partnering with Western Iowa Tech Community College and Hy-Vee to offer the new Learning with Lunch Series. The series consists of educational workshops with different topics scheduled.
All of the workshops will be held at Western Iowa Tech Community College on the second Wednesday of the month.
*"Terrific Table Scapes"
*"Willow Wonders and Winter Bird Feeding Ideas"
The next workshop will be held on Dec. 8 presented by Lisa Meusburger, Program Coordinator for ISU Extension in both Cherokee and Buena Vista Counties. During this workshop, Meusburger will show some unique ways to incorporate willow, metal arbors, and shepard's hooks to feed our local bird population during the upcoming winter months.
Meusburger will include what type of feed for what type of bird you would like to attract and she will also go over what to do with the bird feeders you already have. Plan to attend and have some fun learning how to help our feathered friends.
Pre-registration is required and will be taken until the day before the event to assure the correct number of lunches are available.
Additional workshops will be announced in the future as the time draws near.
Please call 225-6196 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to pre-register. All workshops will be held at noon till 12:50 p.m. at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Cherokee.
