Wednesday, November 3, 2010

At a recent ServiShare/ Farm Bureau awards presentation, several hospitals with outstanding performance in the Workers' Compensation program were recognized. Cherokee Regional Medical Center received an award for recording the most improvement amongst Iowa hospitals in reducing the number of employee work related injuries incurred over the past five years. The award recognized CRMC for their exceptional safety and claims management programs. This is the third year in a row that CRMC has received an award from the ServiShare Safety Award Program. Cherokee Regional Medical Center was also recognized as one of a select few Iowa hospitals that excelled with no fall injuries during the most recent 18 month reporting period. "Cherokee Regional Medical Center administration and staff are committed to providing a safe working environment. CRMC will continue to take a proactive approach to injury prevention as these efforts have proven to be quite effective in reducing work related injury claims" said Rita Comstock, CRMC Safety Committee Member.
