Museum's Rock & Roll program rescheduled

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

Due to inclement weather that Northwest Iowa experienced over the past weekend, the Cherokee Sanford Museum Association postponed its "Juke Boxes, Pool Halls and Ducktails" with Layton Zbornick and rescheduled it to Saturday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Zbornick wrote and recorded Iowa's first Rock & Roll record, titled "Janet." He was inducted into Iowa's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. This program is an entertaining look at those good old days of the 40's, 50's and 60's, seen from the perspective of a young man who grew up in rural small town Iowa.

This program is presented in part by funding from Humanities Iowa, a private, nonprofit state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
