This year's tour is set for Sunday, Dec. 5, from 1-4 p.m. Tickets cost $10 each and may be purchased at any local bank, Hy-Vee Gift Store, Paula's Hair Design, and any T.T.T. member. You may purchase tickets before or on the day of the tour.
The Chapter has found five interesting homes which lend themselves in various styles. The owners have graciously consented to open their home to the public. Everyone loves Christmas and the decorating style and ideas are endless.
Today's home picture is that of Paula Burch. Burch has totally redone her second floor home in the loft style, which has grown in popularity. It shows Burch has a flair for line and color, blending vintage items with new. From the moment you start up the stairs you will see the transformation of her home space.
Burch has several collections over the years which viewers will see, as well as various Christmas settings in her home. It will no doubt let you wish you can kick off your shoes and make yourself right at home. She started early, getting things in place and putting the fall season away.
Other homes on the tour include Keith and Joan Ballanatyne; 1497 Northridge Drive., Josh and Kristin Cedar; 1126 West Cedar, Kent and Kathy Schmillen; 820 North 11th, and Ardyce Skaggs; 310 Sumner Street.
T.T.T. Chapter FV has done this tour for many years as a fund-raiser to send two fourth grade girls to summer camp with all expenses paid. It has been an on-going project for the Chapter for more years than they can remember.
