Special Olympics, Taco John's partner

Special Olympics Iowa (SOIA) has announced it is partnering with Taco John's Restaurants in northwest Iowa for an upcoming awareness and fundraising campaign set to begin on November 22. Donations will be calculated from December 1 - December 31 with a portion for each Nachos NavidadŽ sold to benefit Special Olympics.

The donations from the following restaurants will benefit Special Olympics athletes in their respective states: Cherokee, LeMars, Orange City, Sheldon, Sioux Center, Sioux City, Spencer, Spirit Lake, Storm Lake, South Sioux City (NE), and North Sioux City (SD).

Special Olympics Iowa serves 11,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and Unified Sports partners in all 99 counties of Iowa. SOIA offers 22 Olympic-type sports and specialized programs on an annual basis. More than 80 regional competitions and trainings take place and seven statewide competitions are held each year. Athletes range in age from two to 80+.
