4-H to host Santa's Workshop

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

Looking for something for children to do on "Black Friday?"

The 4-H Youth and the 4-H Betterment Committee, along with the Cherokee County Fair Association, will be sponsoring fun Christmas activities on Nov. 26 at the Gathering Place located on West Main Street in Cherokee from 10 a.m. until noon.

Activities will include games, Christmas crafts, and even cookie decorating. Santa will be available for photo opportunities with kids and parents alike. A gift-wrapping service will be available, bring in the gifts and they will wrap them for you, taking away some of the holiday stress.

Donations will go toward the completion of the Cherokee county 4-H Expo Center.

They will also have on hand the 4-H Cookbooks. They will make great Christmas gifts. The cost of the cookbook is $12.

Squirrel ear corn will be available for sale in Bomgaars parking lot on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. This is also a 4-H betterment project.
