The American Angus Association, headquartered in St. Joseph, Missouri, is the largest beef breed association in the world, with nearly 30,000 active adult and junior members.Its computerized records include detailed information on more than 19 million registered Angus.

Nelson Cattle Company of Aurelia is a new member of the Association, reports Bryce Schumann, CEO of the national breed organization, and Shania Bassel of Marcus is a new junior member, according to Schumann.
Junior members of the Association are eligible to register cattle in the American Angus Association, participate in programs conducted by the National Junior Angus Association and take part in Association-sponsored shows and other national and regional events.
