Ridge View boys slam Ar-We-Va

SCHALLER - The Ridge View boys slammed Ar-We-Va 65-31 in basketball action here Tuesday night after taking a 20-4 lead in the first quarter and expanding that to 38-15 at halftime.

Isaiah Miller paced the Raptors to their first qin this early season, scoring 22 points and pocketing 10 rebounds for his second double-double this season. Miller also had three blocks. Kris Alesch scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to also notch a double-double for the winners, Blake Woodke tallied eight points and had three blocked shots. Alesch totaled three steals to lead that category.

Mitch Blair scored eight points and Ross Pawletzski seven to lead Ar-We-Va.

"We played well," said Ridge View coach Shannon Tesch. "We got it done on the defenisve end and took quality shots offensively. I was impressed with our rebounding and our offensive patience. We had 11 players score in the game."

The 1-3 Ridge View boys host Sioux Central in Schaller tonight and travel to Cherokee Saturday night.
