I'd say Old Man Winter has arrived!
This is the time of the year when schedules and programs at the library might be rescheduled or cancelled. Several ways to obtain this information include tuning into KCHE (92.1 FM) for announcements and updates, checking the library's facebook page on our website, or calling the library at 225-3498.
If school is cancelled because of nasty weather then any youth programs at the library will automatically be cancelled for that day as well.
The Terrific Toddlers for children ages 1-3 has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 18 from 10:30 -- 11 a.m. Toddlers please bring a responsible parent with you. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
The Home Schoolers group will meet Thursday, Dec. 16 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. A library tour will be given to any new families to help them become better acquainted with resources our library has to enhance the education of their child. This will also be a chance to meet and share ideas with other families who home school.
Story Time for pre-schoolers, ages three to five, will meet Tuesday, Dec. 21 from 10:30 -- 11 a.m. Come join in the fun as you listen to a Christmas story, sing some Christmas songs, and make a Christmas craft.
The Youth in Action group will also meet on Tuesday, Dec. 21 from 3:45 -- 4:45 p.m. Don't forget to ride the IC bus to the library. Snacks will be provided. Come have fun stuffing Santa, solving a mixed-up rap, and use your skills to play a couple "Minute to Win It" games.
Looking for something to do during the winter break? Come to the library from 1 -- 3 p.m. on Dec. 27 through Dec. 30 to make a special craft. All ages are welcome. Pre-schoolers must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Last, but not least, mark your calendars for a Pre-New Year's Eve Party on Friday, Dec. 31 from 2 -- 4 p.m. All ages are welcome and pre-schoolers must have a responsible adult with them. There will be games and activities for all ages.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. If you have any questions about the programs call Peg at 225-3498.
Stay warm and have a Merry Christmas.
