MAPLE VALLEY - The Ridge View boys got down by 10 points in the first quarter in Western Valley Conference basketball action here on Friday, and were never able to overtake the Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto Rams, losing by a final score of 48-40 in a low-scoring affair.
Ridge View's Isaiah Miller continued to shine, scoring 26 points, grabbing 14 rebounds, and blocking four shots to lead his team with another double-double. Teammate Seth Johnson scored eight and grabbed five boards.
MVAO was led by Beau Wolfe, with 18 points, and Ryan Dougherty, who scored 10.
Ridge View Coach Shannon Tesch said his team, now 3-5, "struggled to locate their shooters, contest shots, and get in any type of offensive flow. We looked better in the 2nd half, but dug ourselves too big of a hole in the 1st half. Early in the year, we were a fast -starting team, but lately we have been a slow- starting team. That's something we need to change."
The Raptors will resume their post-holiday schedule when they host River Valley in Holstein on January 4.
