Scott Radke, a junior at Buena Vista University, will be the featured speaker at the Annual Meeting of the Hanover Historical Society to be held Sunday, January 9, at the Hanover Church beginning at 2 p.m.
Radke will be presenting "Experience Walking Through the Nazi Death Camps of Poland." Last winter Radke was part of a group that traveled to Poland, Germany, and Israel to learn how the persecution of Jews during WW II played a role in the current Jew/Palestinian conflict. He will relate his experiences and impressions of his travels to three concentration camps and to religious sites in Israel.
The annual business meeting will include election of directors and reports of events of the past year.
Society members are encouraged to attend, and the public is also invited.
