CORRECTIONVILLE - After trailing by only two points at the half, the River Valley boys were unable to stop a 3-point barrage by Woodbury Central in the third quarter, and WC went on to post a 59-44 win in Western Valley Conference basketball action here on Tuesday.
Woodbury Central hit 6-7 shots behind the arc in the third quarter, with Grady Gallagher sinking 4-4 and that essentially put the game out of reach. Mark Petersen led RV in scoring with 13 points, while also while pulling down eight rebounds. Brody Riedeman was also in double digits for the Wolverines, scoring 10 points. Brennan Reidemann led the team in steals with five, while Zak Gander, who is averaging a double/double for the season, turned in a nine point, nine rebound performance.
River Valley travels to Lawton-Bronson to face the Eagles on Friday.
