On Monday, Feb. 7, Cherokee Washington High School, in conjunction with ICAN (Iowa College Access Network), will host a lab to help seniors and parents of seniors fill out the FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid).
Currently, a session is being set up for 5:30 p.m. in the WHS Library. Each family will be given access to a computer and will input the data under the direction of an ICAN representative. Reservations for the lab can be made by contacting Deb Hankens or Jolleen Hunecke in the WHS guidance office 712-225-6755 or by emailing them at email@example.com, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the event that the session fills up, a second session will be set for 4 p.m. Parent-Teacher Conferences will also be held beginning at 5 p.m. on that date.
Before the lab, the FAFSA on the Web Worksheet must be downloaded for each senior at www.fafsa.ed.gov

*Social Security numbers and dates of birth
*Student's driver's license number
*Most recent federal and state tax returns
*Most recent W-2 forms and other records of income earned last year
*Current bank statements and investment records
*Records of untaxed income received last year (e.g., TANF, child support received, etc.).
