Raptor boys fall to good WC team

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

MOVILLE - The Ridge View Raptors fell behind early to a good Woodbury Central team on Friday and never could catch up, dropping a 75-54 Western Valley Conference boys' hoops decision to the Wildcats.

Ridge View's Isaiah Miller once again posted a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead coach Shannon Tesch's Raptors' squad, while Seth Johnson added nine points and Kris Alesch tallied seven points and took down eight rebounds.

Woodbury Central had four players score in double figures, led by James Wright, who had 24 points. Grady Gallagher scored 13, Matthew Wright 12 and Taylor McElrath 10 for the Wildcats.

Coach Tesch said, "Woodbury Central is a very good team. If you take away one thing, they beat you another way. They are tough."

The Ridge View Raptors are now 5-9 on the season.
