The warming trend this week is a welcome change. It makes you feel like you'd like to get out of the house and go do something. So come join us at the library as we continue with our programs for the youth.
Preschool Story Time for three to five year old children meet every Tuesday from 10:30 -- 11 a.m. for stories, actions rhymes, rhythm activities, and crafts. The first Tuesday of February is coming soon. So don't forget to turn the page on your calendars.
The After School Bunch will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 1 from 3:45 -- 4:45 p.m. This program is for children in Kindergarten through fourth grade.
There will be snacks, a story and activities about Mr. Ground Hog and his shadow. Your child needs to ride the IC bus to the library.
A special NIGHT OUT WITH DAD program will be held at the library on Thursday, Feb. 10 from 6:30 -- 7:30 p.m. If dad can't make it bring mom, grandpa or grandma, or any other adult and enjoy an hour of Valentine stories and activities. Come dressed in something red, pink, or red and white and receive a surprise.
Terrific Toddlers will meet Saturday, Feb. 12 from 10:30 -- 11:00 a.m. This program is for 1 -- 3 year old children and their parents. Join us for stories, songs, finger plays and a simple February craft.
Youth in Action group will meet Tuesday, Feb. 15 from 3:45 -- 4:45 p.m. Any 5th -- 6th grade student is invited to come and join in the activities. There will be snacks, optical illusions, and paddle pool. Ride the IC bus to the library and don't forget we close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in case you need to line up a ride home. As I mentioned in the above paragraph, the Cherokee Public Library programs for the youth can now be found on the Cherokee School website and facebook. The library also has a radio spot on KCHE radio station once a month to share information about programs and materials available to all who visit the library. Every Thursday the Chronicle Times runs an article about what's happening at the library. So check out these various media and come join us at the Cherokee Public Library.
