River Valley girls tumble at L-B

LAWTON - The acclaimed Lawton-Bronson girls smacked River Valley 85-39 in Western Valley Conference basketball actiuon last week.

Lexie Chester led the Wolverines with 12 points, Brittany Shropshire added eight, and Jordain Volkert and Jacie Jepsen scored seven apiece.

Josie Kopal and Leah Miller paced the Eagles with 19 points each, followed by Katelyn Brockhaus 13, Jessica Jagar 11, and Taylor King 10.

River Valley sank 14-43 field goals for 33 percent, including 5-10 three-balls, and cashed in 6-13 free throws.

Lawton-Bronson made 37-61 shots for s torrid 61 percent, and was 9-18 from the foul line.

Allie Byers led RV in rebounding with seven, while Jepsen had five, and Kari Ludvigson and Mackenzie Fitch four each. Miller had 13 boards and teammate Brockhaus 12 to lead L-B in that category and give both players a snazzy double-double performance.
