Cold shooting plagued the Eagles in the loss at A-W, the team making just 12-55 field goals for a frigid 22 percent, and meshing 4-6 free throws. Jalyn Doeden and Kelsey Sears, an inside presence for MMC, both fouled out.
Erica Dreckman was the lone MMC player to break double figures with 12 points, while Steph Specht added six. Specht also led MMC in rebounding with nine, followed by Reagan McDaniel with seven, and Dreckman six.
Sarah Parkinson paced the Westerners with 12 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double, and Brandi Davis tallied 10 points. Tasha Johnson grabbed 12 rebounds for the winners.
The Eagles shot a sizzling 50 percent (28-56 shots) in the win over R-A, and cashed in 9-17 free throws.
Dreckman led the Eagles scoring with 18 points, followed by Sears 12, and Doeden 10. Specht added seven points and she and Doeden each grabbed six rebounds to lead that category. Dreckman led in steals and assists with four each.
Sadie Forey led R-A with 13 points, and snagged her own double-double with 10 rebounds.
The MMC teams play at Remsen-Union Friday night in War Eagle Conference action.
