"We lost to a good team and I was very proud of the girls effort," said Ridge View coach Ken Slater. "The second quarter really hurt us. We were able to get their tall girls in foul trouble. but their reserves really did a good job while they sat. We also lost Brooke Wiese to an injury in the second quarter. She has been the glue for our team all year and when she was out it took some time to adjust.
"We came out in the third quarter and did a great job defensively, but hurt ourselves with turnovers. We were also cold from the field. Lawton-Bronson is a very physical team and that impacted our shooting. We just gave up too much in the first half and were never able to get over the hump."
