Al Williams, age 85, of Muskogee, Okla. passed this life on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011 in Muskogee.
Memorial services for were held 11a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel with Pastor Rusty Williams officiating.

AL has resided in the Muskogee area for the past three years coming from Iowa. He was a long time member of the St. Paul United Methodist in Cherokee and while living in Muskogee he was a member of the First United Methodist Church Al graduated from the Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas with a Bachelor Degree in Journalism.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge in Cherokee (Speculative #307) Iowa and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Al was an avid model airplane builder, and he enjoyed playing dominoes with the men's group at Dogwood Creek Retirement Center. He was married for fifty-two years to the love of his life, Reca Williams, who preceded him in death in 2010.
Al was preceded in death by his wife Reca and his parents, Roy and Jean Williams.
He is survived by two sons; John Williams and wife Mary of Vancouver, Wash. and Bruce Williams and wife Lisa of Muskogee, Okla., one sister; Mary Brummett of Winfield, Kan., three grandchildren Christina Rodriguez and husband Mike of New York, David Williams of Chicago, Ill. and Rebecca Williams of Oklahoma City, Okla. and one great-grandson Angel Gabriel Rodriguez of New York.
