STORM LAKE -- Buena Vista University head softball coach Heather Hupke has announced that on Saturday, February 26th, Sunday, February 27th, and Sunday, March 13th, her program will be conducting its annual BVU Softball Clinics in the Lamberti Recreation Center on the Buena Vista campus.
There will be two youth pitching clinics, two high school pitching clinics, and a "Fundamentals of Offense and Defense" clinic available for those in grades 3-12.
The youth clinics, for students in grades 3-7, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 26th, with the pitching portion from 9 a.m.- noon and the fundamental portion to follow from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. The additional pitching clinic is scheduled for March 13th from 9 a.m. - noon.
The high school clinics, for those in grades 8 -12, are scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 27th, beginning with the pitching portion from 9 a.m. - noon and the "Fundamentals" portion to follow from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
The additional pitching clinic will take place on Sunday, Mar. 13th from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Cost of each clinic is $50, including a t-shirt. Those choosing to attend both a pitching and fundamentals clinic will receive a reduced rate of $85 for both clinics, but will only get one t-shirt. Enrollment is limited, to ensure that individual attention is given to each athlete.
Instructions throughout all clinics will be provided by the BVU softball coaching staff, players, and selected high school coaches.
Registration deadline is February 15th to ensure a t-shirt.
