The busy Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn girls snagged two recent non-conference wins to end regular season play, defeating River Valley 49-31 in a weather make-up in Correctionville Feb. 7, and clipping Hartley-Melvin Sanborn 53-49 in Marcus Feb. 8.

Jalyn Doeden scored 14 points and Erica Dreckman 12 to lead the Eagles past the Lady Wolverines, while Stephanie Specht tallied eight, Kelsey Sears seven, and Reagan McDaniel six.

MMC sank 19-54 field goals for 35 percent, and cashed in 10-17 free throws.

Doeden had an impressive double-double performance, also raking in 13 rebounds, while Specht snared 11, Dreckman six, and Anna Wilcox five. Dreckman also ed her team in assists and steals with four each, along with two blocked shots.

As has been the case most of the season, no River Valley girls game statistics were made available.

In MMC's win over HMS, Dreckman led the way with 17 points, followed by McDaniel with 14, Sears 10, and Doeden eight.

Specht led on the boards with eight rebounds, while Dreckman, McDaniel, and Sears each pocketed five. Dreckman registered five steals and McDaniel four.

MMC netted 21-62 shots for 34 percent, and sank 10-15 free throws to run the team's record to a sparkling 16-5.
