Cherokee Hy-Vee Distribution Center recognizes Employees

Hy-Vee Distribution Center extends its congratulations to Steve Kass; Steve was announced as one of Hy-Vee Distribution Center's Employees of the Quarter for the 1st Quarter. Steve started his Hy-Vee career in November of 2009 as a part-time driver in the Transportation department. In March 2010, Steve accepted a regular-time position in the Truck Shop as a mechanic and relief driver. His co-workers and peers said, "Steve balances skills as a mechanic and a driver very well. He enjoys his time spent in each position, excelling in both. He's also always willing to help out in a pinch and is very versatile."

The company also extends its congratulations to Sandy Stubbe, who was also announced as one of our Employees of the Quarter. Sandy started her Hy-Vee career in January of 1988 in our Coupon Center. In May of 1988, she accepted a regular-time position at the Coupon Center. In March of 1991, she was promoted to a full-time position in the Cigarette Room currently called the Repack area of the Grocery Department. Her co-workers and peers said, "Sandy helps out a lot around the department. She has a positive attitude and is very dependable. She is very knowledgeable of her job and handles pressures with ease."

Hy-Vee Distribution Center extends its congratulations to a third Employee of the Quarter,Viet Tran, who was not available for a photo; Viet started his Hy-Vee career in October of 2007 as a part-time order selector in the Grocery Department. His co-workers and peers said, "Viet has a positive attitude and is very optimistic. His work ethic is second to none with holding a full-time job elsewhere and still working part-time for us!"
