CLEGHORN - "Womeninc" has announced that Cleghorn native Dani Jo Lange Rueter will be featured in the upcoming April issue of the magazine.

Rueter has long dreamed of participating in rodeo competitions.

"I've always loved going to watch rodeos and dreamed of being one of the girls flying into the arena, turning the three barrels, and running out, and turning in a smoking time. I never actually thought I'd be there one day," said Rueter.

Her positive outlook has taken Rueter far as she has competed in the National Barrel Horse Association, National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, and the Women's Professional Rodeo Association.

She has also won numerous prizes and titles: four saddles in the National Barrel Horse Association, and fourth in the 2009 and 2010 Great Plains Region for the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

Rueter is the daughter of Mark and Kari Lange of Paullina and a 2008 graduate of South O'Brien High School in Paullina.

Many may remember her as the 2007 Miss Rodeo Cherokee.
