Area jazz bands compete at State Jazz Band

Three bands from the Chronicle Times' coverage area qualified for the State Jazz Band contest, which was held on Tuesday April 12 in Des Moines. The Cherokee Washington and South O'Brien Jazz Bands competed in Class 2A, with SOS placing fifth in the class,

The Aurelia Jazz Band finished third in Class 1A.
