Symphony's 'Young Artist' Concert is May 1

Angelina Gibson
The Cherokee Symphony will present its annual Student Soloist Concert Sunday, May 1, at the Cherokee Community Center at 4 p.m.

The program will feature the following outstanding soloists.

Angelina Gibson is home schooled and is from Sioux Falls, S.D. where she is in the seventh grade. She will be playing Mozart's Piano Concerto in F Major No. 19. Her instructor is Paul Whitley, and her parents are Beverly and William Gibson.

Nadia Maudhoo
Lindsey O'Halloran is home schooled and is from Dakota City, Neb. where she is a junior in high school. Lindsey will be playing Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor. Her instructors are Oris James and Kathryn Marsh. Her parents are Patrick and Sandra O'Halloran.

Nadia Maudhoo is from Omaha, Neb. where she a freshman at Millard High School. Nadia will play Jean Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D Minor. Her instructor is Anne Nagosky. Her parents are Subby and Meg Maudhoo.

These featured soloists will be a major part of a varied and exciting Symphony program. Please reserve this date.

Association memberships are honored; students under 18 are admitted free. Tickets at the door are $10.
