Jan Kistenmacher of Cherokee discovered the Gold Egg in this year's Chronicle Times fourth annual Great Easter Egg Hunt. For her discovery, Kistenmacher wins $1000 worth of the furniture of her choice from Carey's Furniture in Cherokee.

Kistenmacher found the egg in Koser Spring Lake Park "under some leaves under a walking bridge" on Thursday, and brought it in to the Chronicle Times office on Friday afternoon. The Silver Egg has yet to be located.

The Silver Egg winner will receive approximately $340 in gift certificates from participating Cherokee businesses, including a one-year subscription to the Chronicle Times.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt is open to anyone except employees of The Chronicle Times and Carey's Furniture and their immediate families. No purchase is necessary. Decision of the judges is final.
