More than 60 seniors attended the Easter Potluck held at the Cherokee Community Center on Thursday April 14.
Special guest speaker for the Good Times Club of Cherokee was Betty Bilney, who displayed 12 homemade quilts and explained each pattern and the history of the quilts - one of which dated back to 1880.
The Easter Bunny was a special visitor, and arrived in a white fur costume, hopping around the room and leaving eggs for each person. The highlight of the afternoon was the Easter Parade. Many beautiful Easter bonnets had been designed and were worn proudly by 20 ladies as they marched around the room.

At the Good Times business meeting, special spring plans were announced. A jewelry workshop will be held in the Cherokee Community Center at 7 p.m. on Tuesday April 26, with Rhonda Wittkop serving as instructor; members were reminded to come to the shelter area west of the Bacon Aquatic Center at noon on Thursday May 12 for a catered picnic; and garden club members will be hosting a trip to see the tulip gardens in Orange City on May 19, during that city's annual Tulip Festival.
