The public is invited to stop at Careage Hills to purchase chances on this quilt that is done in a Five and Dime pattern. The elders at Careage Hills along with two special volunteers, have made a quilt for the past two years that is raffled for funds that are used for Elder outings throughout the year. The proceeds from last year were used to take the elders to Okoboji, where they enjoyed a day outing highlighted by a ride on the Queen II.
Chances are one for $5 and 3 for $10 and are available at Careage Hills, the drawing will be held on May 10. Pictured here are elders Lois Ebert, left and Charlene Mongan, right, the two ladies along with Lorraine Boardman, work on the quilts an average of two days a week. Photo by Rhonda Fassler
