Cherokee Area Cancer Support Group

Thursday, April 28, 2011

According to the American Cancer Society, it is estimated that there will be over 1.5 million new cases of cancer diagnosed in 2011. Everyone has been affected by cancer in one way or another. You may be a current cancer patient, a cancer survivor or have a family member or friend who is suffering from cancer.

The next meeting of the Cherokee Area Cancer Support Group will take place on Saturday, May 7. It will be held at the Spice Rack in Cherokee and will begin at 9 a.m. Anyone that has been touched by cancer is welcome to attend.

This program is free to the public and is a great opportunity to visit with others affected by cancer. This support group has been organized by Darlene Wiersema and Connie Nelson. If you have any questions, you may contact Connie at 225-2986, Darlene at 225-4039 or JoAnne Tapper at 225-3368 Ext. 229.
