On Thursday, May 12, 'Hot Dog Days' will again be held in Cherokee. Many Cherokee merchants will be grilling from 5 p.m. until the hot dogs are gone that day.

The Cherokee Youth Summer Ball Association parade will begin at 5:30 p.m.that day at the parking lot on the corner of 5th and Main, and proceed east down Main Street to the Hy-Vee Drugstore parking lot.

A total of 5,520 hot dogs were grilled at last year's Hot Dog Days, and the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce sends a big "Thank You" in advance to Tyson Retail Deli and all the staff there for the great locally - made hot dogs they provide, as well as to all those who will be taking the time to grill for the community and their customers.

For more information about Hot Dog Days, call the Chamber at 225-6414.
