The Alta-Aurelia boys golf team posted a pair of victories on Monday and Tuesday.
The team played in a Northwest Conference meet in Laurens on Monday and the Warriors won the team competition by a single stroke over runners-up Laurens-Marathon and Newell-Fonda.
The Warriors' total of 174 strokes was achieved by meet runner-up medallist Gabe Walsh, who shot a 42, Christian Weiland, who had a 43, Colton Ballantyne, 44, and Chris Bengtson, 45. Jaden Holton (46) and Ross Parcel (48) also played for Alta-Aurelia.
Newell-Fonda was led by meet medalist Matt Juilfs, who carded a three-over par 39.
On Tuesday, the Warriors hosted Pocahontas/Pomeroy-Palmer for a dual meet on the Alta golf course, and A-A won by 20 team strokes, 162-182. Weiland was medalist with a 39, followed by Holton, 40; Ballantyne, 41 and Bengtson, 42. Gabe Walsh (46) and Spencer Bezoni (52) also played for Alta-Aurelia.
The A-A Junior Varsity also triumphed over the Indian JV by a 191-209 team score. Brett Stange led the JV Warriors with a round of 45, while Ross Parcel shot a 47, Nick Radke a 49 and Alex Stephan a 50. Kevin Hernandez, Doug Bonneson, Marcus Hinkeldey, Dylan Harms, Gabe McCormick, Neal Felten and Trevor Cuthbertson also played for Alta-Aurelia.
