Henningsen is District medalist

HOLSTEIN - The Alta-Aurelia girls posted a team score of 393 to finish second in the Class 2A District Golf tournament here on Monday, while Kuemper Catholic of Carroll won the team title with their score of 377. Both teams will advance to next Monday's Regional Tournament.

Alta-Aurelia's Jordan Henningsen was the meet medalist with an 18-hole score of 91and Kuemper's Mara Masching was runner-up, also shooting a 91. The two girls will advance to Regional medal play, along with Erin Rasmussen of Odebolt-Arthur/Battle Creek-Ida Grove and Megan Wiederin and Caitlin Brunch, both from Kuemper Catholic.

Other individual scores posted by Coach Leann Patton's Alta-Aurelia team were: Kelsi Snyder,97; Courthey Van Haaften,99; and Jennifer Jensen,106. April Goslinga and Maddi Meier also played for the Warriors.

Cherokee Washington placed sixth in the team standings, with a team score of 482, and Ridge View placed seventh, with a team score of 486.

Cherokee individual scores were: Ally Curry,106; Clare Tuttle,116; Shanon Schaefer,124; and Sadie Brown,136. Katie Cedar also played for WHS.

Ridge View individual scores were: Natalie Waller,103; Kristina Vollmer,107; Taylor Henry,137; and Jayde Vondrak,139. Whitney Gebers and Maddie Schubert also played for the Raptor girls.
