"The young Cherokee team had another fine showing at the Sectional golf meet, continuing to show their improvement from the beginning of the year," said Cherokee coach James DeVos.
"Jake Spindler and Adam Pitts placed 6th and 7th individually. Both players were only a few strokes away from advancing to the District Golf meet individually. Our point total is about a 30 stroke improvement from the beginning of the year. As a coach, I am very pleased with the progress we have made. All six varsity starters are coming back next year so hopefully they can find lots of time this summer to hit the links and improve their games."
