The Board and staff of the Cherokee Public Library are pleased to announce that WILBOR, a service available to library patrons that offers access to free downloadable audio books and ebooks will be up and running on June 1.
WILBOR stands for West/central Iowa Libraries Building Online Resources. The library will host an information session for the public about the new WILBOR program on Wednesday, June 8 at 5:30 p.m. Aimee Clark from the Milford Public Library will explain the program and offer assistance for any type of ebook reader.
People are encouraged to bring devices with them if they have questions about them. The library will not be open for any regular business including public computer use or checkout during this time.
Also the Cherokee Public Library will be closed Saturday, May 28 through Monday, May 30 for Memorial Day weekend. Summer open hours will begin on Tuesday, May 31 as follows: Monday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to noon.
