Jana Chase, center, President of the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) group at Cherokee Washington High School, is surrounded by the students in Meribeth Adams' homeroom. Adams' fourth grade class brought in the most money in the recent collection for the March of Dimes. The twenty-four students collected a total of $212.32. The grand total raised by all students in the Cherokee Community School District was $2,337.21. Money raised is used to support research and programs to give every baby a healthy start. For collecting the most money, the FCCLA surprised the students in Adams' room with some snacks and juice along with a personalized WOW award that read "Thanks for being a hero and saving babies."
