On June 5, the 20th Annual Friends of Conservation Fun Day will be held at Silver Sioux County Park.
This a free event for all who enjoy nature. There will be a wagon ride through the woods along with demonstrations of spinning wool, rope making, and woodworking.
The public is also encouraged to bring musical instruments and jam with others.
You can also enjoy Prairie Stew, cooked over an open fire from noon until it's gone.
Directions to Silver Sioux County Park are as follows: travel six miles south of Cherokee on Highway 59, turn west onto 600th Street, follow to junction with Silver Sioux Road, turn right and look for park entrance on the left hand side.
If you're traveling from Quimby, head east on Highway 31 for 2.5 miles, turn north on to Silver Sioux Road, follow the road to the park entrance (a distance of 1.5 miles).
