Thursday, June 9, 2011

HOLSTEIN - The Ridge View Raptors baseball team scored a 14-1, 5-inning Western Valley Conference victory over Kingsley-Pierson here on Tuesday.

Ridge View coach Shannon Tesch said, "We were very patient at the plate. We drew 17 walks, but when we got a good pitch, we hit it hard."

The Raptors, who are now 4-3 on the season and 4-2 in the WVC, were led at the plate by Heath Clark, who was 2-3 with an RBI and scored three runs; Austin Graff, who was 2-2 and drove in five runs; Kris Alesch, who drove in two runs; and Seth Johnson, who drove in four.

Johnson also picked up the win on the hill, giving up one hit while striking out four.
