Ridge View boys fall to Eagles

Thursday, June 9, 2011

LAWTON - The Lawton-Bronson Eagles defeated the Ridge View Raptors, 5-2, in Western Valley Conference baseball action here on Monday.

Ridge View got only one hit in the game and Dru Kenny and Seth Johnson scored the Raptors' runs.

Ridge View coach Shannon Tesch said, "Lawton-Bronson is a tough team. They are fundamentally sound, and make you pay for mistakes. We didn't make big mistakes - just a few little ones that a team like Lawton-Bronson will take advantage of."

Lawton-Bronson had 11 hits in the game, with two L-B players, Alex Jensen and Damien Wermes, getting two hits apiece, and Luke Skinner got the win on the mound for the Eagles.

The Raptors are now 3-3 on the season and 3-2 in the Western Valley Conference, and go to Fonda on Thursday to take on Newell-Fonda in a non-conference match-up.
