River Valley boys lose to MVAO

CORRECTIONVILLE - The River Valley Wolverines dropped a tough 6-5 game to Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto in Western Valley Conference baseball action here on Wednesday.

Freshman Brennan Riedemann started on the hill for RV and went four strong innings,

allowing two earned runs on two hits, while walking three and striking out six. Brother Brody Riedemann took the loss as he pitched the final three innings, allowing one unearned run on one hit. Riedemann struck out four Ram batters.

Offensively for the Wolverines, Adam Schirmer was 1 for 3 with three RBI; Brody Riedemann had a single, a stolen base, and scored a run; Skylar Shever was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI; Blane Cullen was 1 for 3 with a single, a stolen base, and

a run scored; Parker Goettsch was 1 for 3 with a single, a stolen base, and a

run scored; and Mason Alitz was 1 for 4 with a single.

The Wolverines play at Holstein tonight in a Western Valley Conference match-up with Ridge View.
