AURELIA - The Cherokee Police Reserves will sponsor their 7th annual Golf Tournament Monday, July 11, at the Aurelia Golf Course.
Cost for participants is $35 per person, and that includes morning pastries, lunch, and the 4-person Best Ball format for 18 holes. There will also be door prizes, hole prizes, and much more.
Cart rental is available at $12 per cart, and teams must pre-register by July 8 by contacting organizers Doug Goebel at 261-3887, or Sgt. Brett Gannon at 229-2431. The tourney is limited to 18 4-person teams.
Sign-in is at 8:30 a.m. July 11, with a shotgun start scheduled at 9 a.m.
Proceeds benefit the Cherokee Police Reserves for future equipment purchases.
The Police Reserves' first six annual golf fund-raisers were played at the Cherokee Golf & Country Club, but the tourney was moved this year for financial considerations, according to tourney organizers.
