Cherokee area Spring 2011 Graduates from ICCC

There were 495 students celebrating their 2011 graduation from Iowa Central Community College on Saturday May 7th. It was Iowa Central's 44th commencement. Starting at about 9 a.m., the graduating students, wearing traditional blue gowns and caps, lined up outside as their friends and families gathered inside the Dr. John E. Hodges Fieldhouse. The bleachers were filled quickly and 15 minutes before the event was to start ushers had to inform incoming guests that there was standing room only out in the lobby.

Following several musical selections and words from Mark Crimmins, president of the board of trustees, degrees and diplomas were conferred upon the graduates. Cherokee area graduates were:
