No-hitter highlight for Raptor girls

GALVA - The Ridge View Raptor softball team continued to play solid softball Wednesday as they defeated Lawton-Bronson, 6-0 in WVC softball action here.

Picking up the win on the mound for the Raptors was Gretchen Kistenmacher, who threw six innings of no-hit ball, walking one and striking out six.

Leading the way at the plate for Ridge View was Roxanne Grundmeier, who went 3-4, including a home run, and drove in four runs. Emily Schiernbeck went 2-3 with one RBI, Ashlynn Blenner went 2-4, and Dana Hustedt hit a double and drove in a run.

The Raptors improved to 13-5 overall and 6-3 in the conference with the win, and they will travel to Lytton on Saturday to take on South Central Calhoun in non-conference action, before they return to Galva to host Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto in WVC action on Monday.
